STEREOMUD Split Up, LIFE OF AGONY Add Second Birch Hill Date

July 8, 2003

STEREOMUD, the band featuring former members of LIFE OF AGONY and STUCK MOJO, are strongly rumored to have split up following the disappointing sales performance of the band's sophomore effort, "Every Given Moment".

STEREOMUD's 2001 debut, "Perfect Self", has sold 142,036 copies, while "Every Given Moment", out since April, has shifted 22,280 units in the U.S. to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

In related news, LIFE OF AGONY have added a second reunion show at The Birch Hill in Old Bridge, New Jersey after the first date sold out within 15 minutes, according to the band's official web site. The new gig will take place on Sunday, August 3, and tickets for the show will go on sale on Saturday, July 12 at 12:00 p.m. through Ticketmaster and the Birch Hill Box Office.

LIFE OF AGONY's last two reunion shows — which took place January 3-4, 2003 at Irving Plaza in New York City — were recorded and filmed for an upcoming double live album and DVD, titled "River Runs Again: Live 2003", due in September through SPV Records worldwide. A special limited-edition box set entitled "River Runs Again: Complete", containing digipak versions of the two live audio CDs and the DVD, will also be issued.
